Wórkiro launches Workflows to keep client jobs moving through the first MTD quarterly deadline
As the first quarterly deadline under Making Tax Digital for Income Tax approaches, Wórkiro has launched Workflows—a new module built to stop client jobs stalling at the points where they most often break down: the hand-offs.
Available now to all customers and the platform's 65,000-plus users at no additional charge, Workflows automates the routing of multi-step jobs such as VAT returns and year-end accounts. The timing is deliberate: from 7 August, MTD for Income Tax turns an annual cycle into four quarterly updates, multiplying the moments at which work changes hands.
A firm builds a repeatable process once—the steps, who owns each, and what happens after every outcome—and each step then routes automatically to the right person with documents attached, looping back when a reviewer requests changes. Client-facing steps sit inside the same workflow, so clients complete their part without seeing internal routing. When a job closes, Wórkiro's AI drafts a plain-English account of how it actually ran, ready for a person to check.
The results are already showing: Serenity Accounting & Bookkeeping reclaimed more than 400 hours a year, while Ketton Wealth cut approval turnaround from about seven days to around an hour.
