AuditBot is an Excel add-in for audit fieldwork, built for UK audit teams. Ask any audit team where the hours go and the answer is transactional testing: matching invoices and statements back to the ledger, keying figures into schedules, and rebuilding the same tests from scratch on file after file. It is slow, it is expensive, and it is the work least likely to need professional judgement. AuditBot does that part. It selects the sample and records the basis for the selection, reads the client documents and matches them against the ledger, and extracts the data straight into your schedules with a hyperlink from every figure back to its source. It then runs consistency, casting and formula checks across the workbook, suggesting the fix rather than simply flagging the exception, and optimises formulas on schedules your team has already built. Documents are held in the cloud rather than locally, so files stay fast and schedules can be shared across the team without breaking the audit trail. Because it works inside Excel, where your team already builds its schedules, there is no new file structure to learn and no migration, and it is designed to sit alongside the audit software your firm already uses rather than replace it. This is version two. Version one spent a year in market with UK firms, and the trials, feedback and several hundred test scenarios from that period went back into this build. Every output carries a full, traceable audit trail, so the file stands up to review at a time when scrutiny of audit evidence and file documentation is only increasing.
