About us

AuditBot builds audit, accounts and tax software for accounting firms. We are based in the UK and have worked in UK firms, and that is where our focus sits for now, so the products are built around UK standards and UK filing requirements. Between them they cover three of the compliance service lines a practice has to get through every year: audit fieldwork, accounts and disclosure review, and personal tax.

AuditBot is an Excel add-in for audit fieldwork. It selects the sample and records the basis for the selection, reads client documents and matches them against the ledger, and pulls the data into your schedules with a hyperlink from every figure back to its source. It runs consistency, casting and formula checks across the workbook and suggests the fix rather than only flagging the exception. Because it works inside Excel, where your team already builds its schedules, it sits alongside the audit software you already use rather than replacing it.

AccountsBot reviews a full set of financial statements and completes the disclosure checklist on the same set. It covers casting and cross-casting, cross-referencing between the primary statements and the notes, agreement back to the trial balance, comparatives, accounting logic, and presentation and disclosure, and it verifies company details against Companies House. It also reads the narrative as well as the numbers, so it picks up the places where what the notes say does not match what the figures show. The disclosure checklist is built on content licensed from the HAT Group of Accountants under a formal partnership.

TaxBot takes personal tax returns from information gathering through to filing with HMRC. It builds a much shorter client information request from last year's return, collates and extracts whatever the client sends in whatever format it arrives, populates the return, and flags gaps and inconsistencies before the review stage rather than after it. It goes live on 6 April 2027, timed for the point at which Making Tax Digital reaches the £30,000 threshold and the gathering and chasing arrives four times a year instead of once.

We are run by people who have done this work rather than read about it. Jack Johnston, our chief executive, trained and qualified in audit with RSM and spent years in practice. Shiran Wynter, co-founder, is a chartered accountant and a practising audit partner, and he decides what the products check and how they check it, so that it matches the way the work is really done in a firm. Jared Goodrich, our Chief Product and AI Officer, is a chartered accountant with an audit background, and is responsible for how the products are built and how they behave for the person using them. The team is deliberately small, which is why demos are run by the people who built the products rather than by a salesperson, why onboarding is delivered one to one by our own team, and why you get a named contact who can do something about whatever you raise. Trials run on your own files, at no cost and with no obligation, because a sample file proves nothing about your accounts.

We are ICAEW Technology Accredited and certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Client data is hosted in UK data centres, protected by AES-256 encryption, and is never used to train models for other firms. Every output carries a full, traceable audit trail, with any override requiring a documented rationale that is captured and logged for manager and partner review, so the work stands up to internal review, to a monitoring visit and to a regulator.

Come and find us on the stand and we can talk it through.
