iplicit partners with BDO to power business process outsourcing for the UK mid-market
iplicit announces a strategic partnership with BDO, enhancing the firm's Business Services & Outsourcing offering and giving fast-growth mid-market and global clients a clear upgrade path beyond entry-level systems, without the cost of full ERP.
The strategic partnership enhances BDO's Business Services & Outsourcing offering, enabling the firm to provide a viable software alternative for fast-growth mid-market and global clients without the disruption and cost of transitioning to full enterprise ERP systems.
The partnership addresses a gap in the market. As mid-market businesses grow, they frequently outgrow entry-level cloud accounting solutions, creating operational inefficiencies for the business and their outsourcing partner. BDO can now transition these clients onto iplicit - purpose-built to bridge the gap between entry-level tools and costly enterprise systems.
Partnering with BDO marks a significant move for iplicit, which has averaged over 100% year-on-year revenue growth since 2019, secured £25m from One Peak in January 2025, and features on the 2026 Sunday Times 100 Tech list.
Matthew Lewns, Accountancy Partner Lead at iplicit: "Every accountancy firm has flagship clients that become increasingly complex to support as they grow. This partnership gives BDO's growing mid-market and global clients a clear, cost-effective upgrade path as their needs evolve - without the disruption of moving between very different tiers of finance systems."
Ian McBane, BDO Partner and National Head of Business Services & Outsourcing: "iplicit stands out as the ideal choice for both rapidly growing enterprises and larger clients with intricate needs. It provides the robust functionality and bespoke workflows essential for our clients, while offering scalability to manage multiple entities and jurisdictions effectively."
Ben Crow, VP Partnerships at iplicit: "An estimated 100,000 mid-market sites across the UK remain reliant on legacy, on-premises finance systems. Just as Xero made BPO viable for small businesses, we're seeing a similar transformation in the mid-market - and BDO now has the technology infrastructure to support these organisations as they grow."
