About us
Briefcase puts your books on Autopilot. For two and a half years our AI agents have been working inside UK accounting firms, from top 20 practices to sole practitioners: capturing invoices, coding transactions, handling VAT, reconciling banks and building working papers in real time. Today more than two-thirds of invoices are processed without a human touching them, prepayments and accruals are caught as they happen, and working papers close with 65% of the steps already done.
At DAS 2026 we're launching Briefcase Ledger, the UK's first AI-native general ledger. Rather than adding AI on top of an existing system, we've built the ledger around it from day one, for accounting firms and the businesses they serve.
