A comment from our founder

So much has changed in the last few weeks. The world is now in a global pandemic and businesses across the country are scrambling to survive this crisis. The last two weeks have been two of the toughest weeks for UK accountants.

You have had to console and reassure your clients, translate mixed government messages, answer endless amounts of client queries, work like crazy, protect livelihoods and all whilst managing a remote team, meeting deadlines and making important strategic decisions about your own business.

You are doing an incredible job - thank you.

The way in which this profession has come together has been a truly humbling and inspiring experience and we must now continue to support one another, our teams, our clients and collaborate now more than ever to get through these tough times. To help facilitate this collaboration we have launched the Digital Accountancy Community Facebook page, where accountants can share, discuss and meet with like-minded professionals to help support each other and your clients through this crisis and beyond.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the messages of support over the last few weeks. The emails, phone calls, text messages and social media support has really blown me away - something I will never forget. I would like to thank our advisory board, attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors. Without your support, we would not have made it through these challenging times. From phone calls ensuring payments are safe to emails from attendees reassuring their understanding of having to reschedule the event. What this has taught me is no matter how small you think the gesture is, to someone else it could be huge. I am pleased to say we managed to secure a new date for the Digital Accountancy Show which is 10th September 2020. Over 3,000 accountants have now signed up to show, which has blown all our expectations out of the water and it seems the concept and content of the show has really excited accountants across the UK. We would like to sincerely thank everyone for your continued support and patience during this challenging time. We look forward to welcoming you to the Digital Accountancy Show and I hope you, your team and your family stay fit and healthy over the coming weeks.

Thanks again and stay safe Dan Cockerton Founder
